Purpose
Base Parts are used in the design of Master Pages or Layout Pages.
Web Parts
Base Parts include:
- Login Status Part
- Change Control Part
- Web Part Zone
Login Status Part
The Login Status Part shows a login link and optional second link that may be customized per application.
Change Control Part
The Change Control Part is displayed when a user is logged in. It displays the user name, and commands for 'Edit', 'Library', 'Browse' and 'Logout'.
Web Part Zone
The Web Part Zone simplifies design of the Master Page by incorporating a number of Web Part features.
