Table Localization Web Part

This Web Part is used by the COR Administrator to manage multi-language strings for CMS and Jetfire Web Parts. Strings may be added, updated and deleted.

Check out how languages are used? The Table Localization Web Part is used to define multiple-languages used in COR and Jetfire Web Parts. COR stores multiple languages in a database as opposed to RESX files.

The left side of the Web Part is a list of all strings that are in the database. The right side contains:

This Web Part is accessed by the CMS Admin Panel.

Procedure for New strings

To add a new string for a specific Web Part:
  1. Enter the name of the string (this is a unique name in the Web Part).
  2. Select the language from the right-hand language box.
  3. Enter the value for the language string.
  4. Select the Web Part that the string is for.
    • The Page is used for page specific strings.
  5. Enter an optional comment.
  6. Click Save.
  7. If successful, the Web Part shows 'Record Saved'. If unsuccessful, an error message is displayed.

Procedure to add another language to the Named string

  1. Select the name of the string from the left side list.
  2. Select the language that is being added.
  3. Enter the value for the language string.
  4. Click Save.
  5. If successful, the Web Part shows 'Record Saved'. If unsuccessful, an error message is displayed.

Procedure to delete a Named string

  1. Select the name of the string from the left side list.
  2. Click 'Delete'.
  3. Confirm the action
  4. If successful, the Web Part shows 'Language deleted ' and the name of the language. If unsuccessful, an error message is displayed.

Procedure to delete the selected language string

  1. Select the name of the string from the left side list.
  2. Select the language that is being deleted. (right-hand language box)
  3. Click 'Delete Language'.
  4. Confirm the action
  5. If successful, the Web Part shows 'Record deleted'. If unsuccessful, an error message is displayed.
