New Workflow with Parameters Part

There are a number of Web Parts that allow users to create new workflows. This Part is unique in that the user may enter data BEFORE the workflow is created. The entered data then becomes part of the new workflow.

Web Part Example

The Web Part shows how a DVD can be created with a name. If the user clicks the DVD link, the user is prompted to enter a DVD Title and try again. When a DVD Title is entered and the DVD link is clicked, a new DVD is created with that name.

Edit Properties of the Web Part

The Web Part may be edited. It has the standard properties of a Jetfire Web Part. The custom edit properties include:

  • Workflow Name – the name of the workflow class to create.
  • Workflow Display Name – the name of the workflow class displayed in the Web Part.
  • Property Names – a comma-delimited list of properties that are prompted for.
  • Property Display Names – a comma-delimited list of names to display for the properties.
  • Success Message – a custom message to the user when the workflow is created.
