Jazz Users Access Summary Web Part
Jazz Users Access Summary Web Part displays what users and roles have access to restricted Jazz Records. A Jazz record is restricted if it has an Access Control List (ACL).
Figure 1 shows the Jazz Users Access Summary Web Part. The Figure shows that My Workspace is a Workspace class in the Public Workspace that has two ACL records:
- Role: Admin, Access: Allow - meaning that Users with the Admin Role are allowed access to the My Workspace Workspace and all records in the Workspace (unless the records have further ACL's.).
- Role: Coordinator, Access: Deny - meaning that Users with the Coordinator Role are denied access to the My Workspace Workspace and all records in the Workspace (unless the records have further ACL's.).
Workspaces
Every record belongs to a Workspace and inherits the ACL properties of the Workspace. e.g. in the above example, if there is a Project record that allows the Coordinator Role access to it and belongs to the My Workspace Workspace, what happens? Since the Coordinator is denied access to the Workspace, it will not check any ACL's for objects in the Workspace and therefore will not have access to the Project.
