Jetfire News Display Web Part

The Jetfire News Display Web Part displays all valid new items.

Two new items are displayed in the example. Alternate css classes are used to distinguish rows in the table.

Access

The Web Part is accessed from the Jetfire News Web Parts Library.

Web Part Features

Features of the Web Part include:

  • Works in conjunction with a Workflow Configuration Xml file to display properties. If the Workflow Configuration Xml file is not found, then displays the Properties on a best guess basis.
  • Using the Workflow Configuration Xml file, displays Properties according to the type of Form Element specified. In the example,
  • A custom display of the Workflow is achieved using a combination of the Workflow Configuration File, Css Classes from the Style Sheet and custom labels.
  • A Jetfire method is invoked when the workflow is saved.

Edit Properties of the Web Part

Custom edit properties include:

  • Find Workflow - An enumeration for what workflows to look for.
  • Workflow Names - one or more workflow class names that are displayed in the Web Part.
  • Sort Option - how workflows are sorted for display.
  • Filter - a filter used to display workflows.
  • Show All Versions - if true, then all versions of the workflow are displayed.
  • Display Header - if true, displays the header.
  • Header - a formatted string that displays a custom header. The default string is 'Created on {0} by {1} to {2}.'. The name of the workspace that this news item is addressed to is replaces {2} in the Header default string.
  • Created Date Property - the property in the workflow that represents Created Date. In the Header default string, {0} is replaced by the value of this property.
  • Created By Property - the property in the workflow that represents Created By. In the Header default string, {1} is replaced by the value of this property.
  • Heading css - the css class that is used for the Header.
  • Title Properties - a comma-delimited list of properties used to display in the Title.
  • Body Properties - a comma-delimited list of properties used to display in the Body.
  • Title css - the css class used for the Title.
  • Row css - the css class used to display rows.
  • Alternating Row css - the css class used to display alternating rows.
