Test Auto-Login Cookie Web Part
This Web Part is used to test the auto-cookie feature that is part of the Create Jetfire User Web Part.
Access
This Web Part is accessed by the
Jetfire Admin Panel.
Procedures
There are a number of tests that be performed from this Web Part.
- Check the Query string
- Encrypt the cookie
- Decrypt the cookie
- Delete the cookie
Check QueryString
The Query String syntax that appears in the browser address bar is: page url + '?confirmReg=' plus a unique user id. The query string is meaningful on a page with the Auto-Login Web Part and will automatically log users into Jetfire.
To test the query string in the address bar, click the 'Check QueryString' link.
- If the query string is incorrect, a message is displayed indicating that the syntax is not correct.
- If the unique user id is not a Jetfire User, then a message is displayed indicating that the user is not found.
- If the unique user id is found, then the user name and password is shown for the user. Confirm that the parameters are correct.
Create an Encrypted Cookie
To create an encrypted cookie,
- Enter a user name and password.
- Click 'Encrypt Cookie'.
- The user name and password saved in a Auto-Login cookie in the browser.
Decrypt Cookie
To test the cookie, it can be retrieved and decrypted.
- Click 'Decrypt Cookie'.
- If there is no cookie, a message 'There is no cookie' is displayed.
- If the cookie is found, but does not contain the user name or password, an error message is displayed.
- If the cookie is found and contain the user name and password, a message is displayed and the user name and password are validated against the database.
- A message is displayed that indicates whether the user name and password is valid.
Delete Cookie
To delete the cookie, click the 'Delete Cookie' link.
