WIR Web Part
A Warranty Information Report for PC's is available from PC Manufacturer websites to users. The WIR Web Part makes that report available to you when you enter the serial number of your PC and the manufacturer. (For IBM PC's, the model is also required.)

The Web Part is accessed from the
Enhansoft Web Parts Library.
WIR data
Tracking WIR Queries
The WIR Web Part limits the number of queries that a user can make in one day. To track the number of queries that a user makes in a day, some data needs to be stored in a database. This includes the WIR data associated with a user (this first image) and the WIR Query data for each query made (this second image).
The WIR data includes:
- the IP Address of the user making the query
- the date that the queries were made
- a list of queries made by the user on this day
The WIR Query data includes:
- the serial number of the PC
- the manufacturer of the PC
- the model of the PC (only required for IBM)
- the date that this query was made
Editor for WIR Web Part
Edit Properties
- Limit Count: the number of queries that the software limits the user to for a day.
- Limit Message: the message displayed to the user when the number of queries is exceeded.
- List of PC Manufacturers: a list of PC manufacturers by the software. The initial list is: 'Dell, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Northern Micro and Toshiba'.
- Text css: the style from the style sheet applied to the text in the form.
