Applying Access Rules
This Web Part is used with the
Jazz Editor Web Part during configuration.
The technical approach
- At configuration time, the administrator creates the desired Access Rules for new Jazz Records using the GUI defined in Figure 1.
- Once the administrator is satisfied with the definitions, the administrator clicks the 'Generate Access Rules' button.
- The administrator may edit the Access Rules at the bottom for advanced applications that require more sophisticated Access Rules.
- The administrator clicks the 'Test' button to ensure that the new Access Rules are valid.
- The generated Access Rules are saved as part of the Jazz Editor Web Part.
- When a user creates a Jazz Record using the Jazz Editor Web Part, the generated Access Rules are compiled and run against the new record, thus adding ACLs to the new record.
- Other users access to the new Jazz Record is based the ACLs that are part of the new Jazz Record.
