Farm Gate Agri-Producer

The Producer is a business that sells goods and/or services related to the Agriculture sector. The producer record contains:
  • properties about the Producer.
  • a reference to a Municipality
  • a collection of Farm Produce sold by the producer.
  • a collection of Producer Business Types that the producer belongs to.
  • a collection of Notes
  • methods used to add objects to the Producer.
  • states useful for displaying relevant Producers.

Properties for the Producer

Properties for the Producer include:
  • Role - the Role is used to limit access to the record. Read/write access to this object is provided to users who either have the Admin role or the Role assigned to this property.
  • Subject - the name of the business.
  • ToolTip - a description of the business. This is used as a mouse-over tool tip on the web page.
  • County - the County that the business resides in.
  • Survey ID - an ID used for internal purposes.
  • Order - an integer used to order the records used for internal purposes.
  • Municipality - the municipality that the business resides in.
  • Contact Name - a main contact for the business.
  • Position - the position in the business of the main contact.
  • Address - an address for the business.
  • Alternate Address - an alternate address where goods and/or services are sold.
  • Phone - the phone number for the business.
  • Fax - the fax number for the business.
  • Email - the email address for the business.
  • Website - the website address for the business.
  • Primary category - a photo associated with the business.
  • Hours of Operation - the hours of operation that the business is open.
  • Sunday Sales - a (yes/no) flag for whether the business is open on Sunday.
  • Call Ahead - a (yes/no) flag for whether perspective customers should call ahead.
  • Pick Your Own Foods - text that describes foods that a customer may pick.
  • Apple Varieties - text that lists apple varieties grown by the Producer.
  • Featured Products - text that describes how products may be featured on a menu.
  • How Goods Are Featured - an explanation about how products are featured.
  • Events Hosted At Your Location - text that describes the events that the business may host at their location.
  • Producer Business Types - an array of Business Types defined for the Producer. The producer form shows business types as a list. Each Business Type is saved to the database as a single record in a separate table.
  • Farm Produces - a Produce list provided by the Producer. The producer form shows produce as a list. Each Produce is saved as a single record to the database in a separate table.
  • Notes - a list of notes for the Producer. Each Note is saved as a single record in a separate table.

  • Add_Farm_Produce(Produce) - a command to add a specific produce to a business
  • Remove_Farm_Produce(Farm_Produce) - a command to remove produce from a business
  • Add_Note() - a command to add a note to a business
  • Add_Business_Type() - an Administrator command for adding a Business Type to a Producer
  • Add_Business_Type(Business_Type) - an Administrator command for adding a Business Type to a Producer
  • Remove_Business_Type(Producer_Business_Type) - an Administrator command for removing a Business Type from a Producer
  • Add_Admin_Note() - an Administrator command for adding a note that only the Administrator can see
  • Delete_Producer() - an Administrator command for deleting the Producer
  • Set_Active() - an administrator command for setting the Producer to Active from the Inactive state
  • Set_Inactive() - an Administrator command for setting the Producer to Inactive from an Active state. The Producer may not be displayed on the website in this state.

States

States may be used in Web Parts to filter what gets displayed.

  • Active - the Producer is active
  • Inactive - the Producer is inactive
